This is the collection of the sayings of Kazushi Sakuraba, a martial arts fighter. Takahiro Inoue (representative of Pehlwans), a journalist who has been watching Sakuraba, has selected 178 sayings out of interviews and his remarks. We'll present them along with the photos taken by Kuniyoshi Taikoh especially for the application. What's more, Sakuraba shows his 22 special techniques, to which he has kindly attached autograph comments filled with his sense of humor. It's also valuable in that the readers can learn how he thinks about martial arts and what he values. I would like you to read between the lines.
Comments from Editor:
When talking about today's MMA, prospering worldwide, we can't ignore a fighter named Kazushi Sakuraba. The crucial difference of Sakuraba from other fighters is that he has involved himself in fights not only with his opponents, but with promoters and audiences. He never escapes from matches required by promoters, and develops his matches in fantastic ways as required by his audiences. It can be said that, because he has introduced MMA's complicating offenses and defenses and its techniques plainly and sometimes amusingly, MMA has made rapid advances as entertainment. Words by such a man are as plain as his matching style. Plain, and at the same time, deep and weighty. This book collects what Sakuraba has said so far, and is intended to tell MMA fans worldwide "the spirit of a fantasista, and MMA fighters"must-do's of professional fighters."
